Now I've always " sat on the fence " regarding this fella . Clever fucker and I take my hat off to him for achieving what he has.. Saw a video of him live ,probably well old, but when he goes on about sex and girly bits I thought he was 1strange individual, there was something not right about him .I'm surprised he got any laughs for that section of his show , the messiah I think it was called.sorry if already discussed.

Not a bad list there, CB, but I'm throwing Gary Shandling in there as I'm making my way through the Larry Sanders Show and he's reminded me that he is a top gun in his way. He doesn't act angry himself, but his show has big sharp teeth hidden in the humour.

I think modern comdeians need to use a lot of relevant observational humour, laced with their own opinions - otherwise the comedy is one dimensional - the deliverer would be better off saying a list of one liners (and Steven Wright and Mitch Hedberg are the kings of that) - but even then I want to hear OPINION
you don't have to agree all the time - the mere fact you have questioned someone elses values VALIDATES that opinion (and your own)
We alI walk a tightrope of contraction and hypocrisy - why should comedians be any different or safer?
We'd all be watching Ma Brown or that fat ugly bird otherwise
